COVID-19: The fight is now in your hands, FG tells Nigerians April 28, 2020   The Federal government has said the gradual easing of the restrictions imposed to curtail the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) meant that all Nigerians must begin to take personal responsibility for the fight henceforth. Home NEWS NYSC Announces POP Date For Batch B Stream 1 Corps Member The Passing Out Parade of NYSC batch B Stream1 Corps members has been scheduled to commence from May 28, 2020 despite the increase in the cases of COVID in the country and the presence of various lockdown by different states trying ensure the safety of its citizens. This was made known by the NYSC D.G through a circular to all State Coordinators, Zonal Inspectoes, Local Government Inspectoes and Corps members. Batch B Stream1 Corps members would have to return to their state of deployment to enable them collect their Certificate of service. The exercise is going to take place over a period of 10 days hosting at most 30 corpers pay day in adherence to the social distancing protocol. The 10-day issuance of Certificates is subject to further extention pending the situation of things at that time. Covid-19: School Resumption Date

Presidency Gives Update On Reopening Of Schools Nationwide The Presidency has made clarifications on school resumption following the gradual relaxation of the lockdown. President Buhari had ordered a gradual relaxation of the lockdown starting from Monday next week but was silent on the reopening of schools. However, Buhari’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina while featuring on TVC, said schools may re-open for those about to take exams. Adesina said candidates about to take West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and other examinations may be allowed to go back to school. “If you look at Germany, they gradually reduced their lockdown by opening the schools for those who have exams. “Same may apply here as those who are to write WAEC and take examinations may be allowed to resume to take their exams. “The Presidential Task Force will be the ones to decide on when to re-open,” Adesina said on Tuesday.
