THE COLLOQUIUM 2.0 IN HONOR OF PROF. NENTAWE YILWATDA GOSHWE THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS APC
Yesterday, 6th August 2026, was a day I will forever cherish.
I was privileged to be part of the committee that worked tirelessly to organize and successfully honour our father, leader and mentor, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at THE COLLOQUIUM 2.0, themed “Catalyzing Nigeria into a $1 Trillion Economy.”
For me, this was more than just an event. It was a moment of pride, honour, gratitude and reflection.
Seeing our father celebrated alongside his beloved wife, Prof. Martina Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, members of the Yilwatda family, distinguished leaders, professionals, friends and well-wishers was truly inspiring.
The occasion was graced by His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, ably represented by Her Excellency NGO Josephine Piyo, Deputy Governor; the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau; the National Secretary of the APC; the Chairman of the APC Governors Forum, His Excellency Dist. Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma, ably represented by the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development; the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Pharm. Dr. Bernard Mohammed Dogo; the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil; PDP Gubernatorial Candidate Kefas Wungak Ropshik (Kefiano); APC Senatorial Candidate for Plateau Central, Hon. David Barji, and many other distinguished dignitaries.
But beyond the glamour, speeches and presence of dignitaries, the occasion carried a deeper meaning.
It was a celebration of impact.
Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe has mentored, inspired and empowered many young people on the Plateau and beyond. He has been a father, a leader, a mentor and a source of encouragement to many.
Being part of the team that helped make this memorable occasion possible is something I am deeply grateful for. Every sacrifice, every planning session, every late night and every effort behind the scenes was worth it.
Yesterday, we did more than organize an event.
We celebrated a man.
We celebrated his journey.
We celebrated his impact.
